RE: 84 pace arrow fuel filter

On my 84 Pace Arrow there was a canister fuel filter just behind the front wheel on the passenger side.

RE: Another No-Cold Model 1200 question Thermistor Up, DN, L,R ?

Make sure that the area around the exhaust chimney where the wires for the electric heater enter and exit are not excessively wide or open and let heat out. I found that by "sealing" them with foil heat tape, I was able to significantly improve the cooling of my Norcold when running on propane, and it slightly improved the cooling on electric. It seemed to me the the lower opening of the chimney was letting out a good portion of the heat generated by the propane flame before it made it way up the chimney. I now routinely get 36 to 38 degrees in refrigerator. I also have the Camping World CAMPCO small battery operated refer fan runing inside the refrigerator. It runs off two D-cells and sits on the bottom right side of refrigerator helping to circulate some air inside the unit. Seems to help. Thanks for the tip, after the foil tape suggestion my fin temps are about the same on AC and LP. Before fins were about 3 degrees warmer on LP. On this unit every little bit helps. Currently I actually have 2 battery powered fans in my fridge. I currently have both blowing on the cooling fins.

Is there any advantage to moving the Thermistor right to left ?

Another No-Cold Model 1200 question Thermistor Up, DN, L,R ?

I have a Norcold Model 1200 4-door fridge that is not cooling to my standards. According to my Forum search results mid 40's during the heat of the day is normal :? Do you move the Thermistor to the right, left, up or down to increase cooling ? Can you move it too far to the left?

RE: Antifreeze coolant quality

Henrye, my Spartan did indeed come with green antifreeze. I am the second owner and I purchased it with 7,500 miles. I live in Oklahoma City and talked to Cummins OKC

RE: Antifreeze coolant quality

I recently completed a coolant change on my 05 370 ISL. I changed from Green to Blue :). Blue is Fleetguard ES Complete EG. ES Complete is a Lifetime coolant with the addition of ES Extender. I doubt I will leave it in for that long. My rig does not have a coolant filter and I still have to check my SCA levels every 6 months. I did use the concentrate and mixed with distilled water as it was considerably cheaper. I also purchased 2-five gallon buckets to save money. My local Cummins dealer had to order the five gallon buckets. I also did not use the OAT (Red) coolant based on the advise from the loacal Cummins service manager. Final Charge (Red) mix was available from my local Wal-Mart, as well as Fleetguard.

RE: a.c. shroud

Two things come to mind. 1- Are you saying the rig is 18 years old and has been stored outside ? If so, the Shroud may have become brittle and was deposited along the side of the road. 2-If someone helped themselves to the shroud , I would make sure that more than the shroud is not missing :( Copper etc)

RE: Extra heating duct in the basement?

Toban: Does your DSDP not have a switch to turn on a fan to draw more warm air into basement? I realize from your sig you are in Canada and are subjected to more cold. I very rarely have to use the fan in my basement. Maybe you could install a fan with more CFM ?

RE: Coolant Change Interval?

O'Reilly' can get Wix test strips. I picked up a set of 4 (CC2602-A) @ Cummins yesterday. Be careful how many you buy. They have an expiration date and have a tendency to go bad before the date. Especially if exposed to heat.

RE: What else to do while replacing flooring

percle: If the flooring mfr allows it, I would consider the sound dampening underlayment. It will add a little r-value and will help with road noise.
